At the top of the canvas sits the Run Nav. On the left, you'll find the name of your organization, the name of your workflow, it's status, and the version number. On the right, you'll see any connected users, and actions for Help Center, Undo, Redo, Publish a Version, and Run Workflow.
The name of the organization this workflow belongs to. This is immutable.
The name of the Analytics workflow you're working on. You can edit a workflow's name, description, and details from AuditBoard Automations, on the corresponding workflow's details page.
Workflows can be in DRAFT
, which allows the user to edit their workflow. Or workflows can be PUBLISHED
, which is a read-only mode designed to ensure that active workflows are not changed.
The version number of the Analytics workflow you're working on.
The initials of collaborating team members will appear for any users in the same workflow, at the same time.
You may find yourself needing to revert changes you have made on your Analytics workflow. To do this, simply look for the undo and redo buttons located at the top-right corner.
The Publish button in the top-right corner will publish an updated version of your workflow to AuditBoard Automations. This is generally done when a workflow is complete, and is ready for independent testing and verification.
Data is imported and processed through tools only when a workflow is run. When a workflow is run, the workflow sequentially carries out the logic of the tools configured on the canvas.
From the canvas, a workflow run can be triggered in one of two ways:
Automagically, when new tools are added or when parameters are changed the workflow runs, updating itself in situations where you'd most likely click run anyway.
Manually, at any time the user may click the “Run” button to process their entire workflow.
Workflow runs can be remotely triggered from SOXHUB or OpsAudit by adding a tool at the end of your workflow.
