File Input Parameters

File Input Parameters are a powerful capability of the Parameter function. It allows workflow builders to enable the functionality of dynamically altering file inputs. This allows workflow users to run the workflow without ever needing to update the canvas.

Create your own file input Parameter

To create a file input parameter simply click and drag a Import File tool onto the canvas. Configure the Import File Tool however you want. Afterwards you will create a new parameter as seen below.

AuditBoard Analytics accepts the following file types:

• XLS or XLSX

• CSV

• TSV

• SAV

• HYPER (Tableau)

When enabled, the file input Parameter will create a prompt on all workflow runs in the future, allowing users to point the workflow input(s) to whichever file they choose.
