Journal Entries - Analytical Review

Performs various trend and analytical reviews on your journal entries. It tests the period-over-period changes in amounts booked to various accounts, trends in the various account combinations, as well as the total count and sum total of these bookings. This analysis helps identify significant changes or trends in your financial data across different periods.

Input Requirements

• A prior and current year journal entry file sourced from your ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).

• Parameters

  1. Period Over Period Variance Threshold: Amount in which if exceeded by the period over period change is flagged.

  2. File Input Parameters

• An analysis on journal entry account combinations and identification of any significant trend changes.

• An analysis on period over period trends for various journal entry accounts.

• An analysis on period over period trend in journal entry count and sum total.
